It provides the infrastructure needed to support the sharing of geographic information among data providers, service providers, and users around the world. Through the Geography Network, you can access many types of geographic content including dynamic maps, downloadable data, and more advanced Web services.
	The Geography Network is managed and maintained by ESRI, the world leader in the geographic information system (GIS) industry. ESRI sponsors the Geography Network to promote the sharing and discovery of geographic information and services. It is intended to support the vision of a spatial data infrastructure (SDI) enabling ready access to geographic information. We invite you to explore and participate.
	Sun Microsystems is the official hardware provider of ESRI's Geography Network. ESRI selected Sun hardware to power the Geography Network portal site and the highly trafficked ESRI Internet Mapping System because of its proven reliability and performance.
